Tim Ord is a full-time at-home trader who has been in the markets for over 25 years. One of his claims to fame: in 1988, using his own account, he placed fourth nationally in the option division in "The United States Trading Championship." Tim's trading methods of looking at supply and demand in the markets was first outlined almost one hundred years ago in the work of Richard D. Wyckoff. Many know of his work in coming up with a new method of trading using the N.Y.S.E. tick index. TraderInterviews.com: Hi. This is Tim Bourquin, from TraderInterviews.com. Thanks very much for joining us for another show this week. As usual, the idea of all these shows is to give you ideas to think about in your own trading by talking to traders and talk about what their overall philosophy is for trading the markets and how they find opportunities each day. Today we're going to speak with Tim Ord. He's got a web site called Ord-Oracle, The Ord-Oracle. He's also written a book called "The Secret Science of Price and Volume". We're going to talk to him about what that is exactly and how he looks at the markets each day, and finds opportunities himself as well. So, Tim, thanks very much for joining us on the show today.

Tim Ord: Well, thanks for having me on. I actually I have minor correction. That's ord hyphen oracle dot com.

Tim Ord: Actually, my dad, was in the stock market and he used to talk about it and always kind of created interest in me and actually, I was a Math major in college. So, with my dad's interest and mathematics, It's kind of just natural progression to the stock market. So, I ended up here, and it's one of the best jobs in the world.

Tim Ord: Yeah. I trade for a living.

TraderInterviews.com: And do you trade at home or in a trading office?

Tim Ord: No, I actually just trade right out of my house.
