I have been keeping a paper trading account to trade publicly and exclusive the PCCRC since June 2007. The account has not only survive, but thrive during the collapse of the stock market in October and subsequent months. Despite the high volatility, I have been able to locate a few candidates, and the account has now grown to more than 100% from the start.

You can too learn from my experiences, since I have no hesitation on showing you what I have done. I am willing to come and answer any questions that any of you may have. My motivation is the "Pay it Forward" philosophy. I am doing this, so that you too do something really big for 3 other people and ask that they too "Pay it Forward".

Thanks

Jaguar

Please state your request clearly. You want me to post here the max loss at any particular time during the last 8 months in the account? Just to be clear.

Participants in my blog have access to real time video of every trade I have place since I started this paper trading account in June 2007. They have followed my rational and I have explained 4 strategies to enter the PCCRC. They have had a chance to ask many questions. They have viewed tutorials and many of them have started to trade real money following my approach. After 8 months of paper trading.... PUBLIC, REAL TIME paper trading, there is no doubt that my approach produces unbeatable results and consistently in a very uncertain market. In fact the best month was Aug. when the fear hit all time highs.

I have put a lot of time and effort to develop and optimize my system. Yet, I am so confident that I can make ALL the money I need to live comfortably, that I don't need to charge to share my results. I am willing to give it all for free, asking only that you Pay It Forward! My goal is only to create good will in the world, as described in the Novel my Catherine Ryan Hyde.

So yes, I will tell you all you want to know about it, but be sure to visit my blog and perhaps join my private blog where you have access to all my video tutorials. Hopefully you too can benefit from my effort!

If by drawdowns you mean what the worst possible decline was (in %) at any particular time, I don't have that number, but I can easily check that for you.

For now, I can tell you that I trade the Elliott wave with vertical spreads and long calls and puts, and I have explored many other methods, and I have never felt worried at any time with the PCCRC. It really matters little whether the stock market is going UP or DOWN, you can have winners at any time, either because of increase in volatility or increase in stock price.

From the beginning, when I opened this account, I begun to gain, and never looked back. Never went below the original capital. I can say the same for my own personal real cash account. Of course there are times when growth have lowed or even stopped. This is particularly true for December, when the stock market slows to a crawl.

Finally, each PCCRC has a maximum capital required and a max risk. As a rule of thumb, each trade capital does not exceed 10% of the account, and the risk is always 2% of the account or less, on each trade. I have never experienced the max loss, in 3 years I have been trading the PCCRC. However, the PCCRC does leave the door open for gigantic gains. Take for example a trade in AQNT, a stock that went up to double it's price as MSFT purchased it. My trade on AQNT went up to 248% return on capital and 1693% return on risk.

So drawdowns? I check it up for you, but I have never been able to sleep better at night, since I have been trading the PCCRC.

Back in June 2007, I opened a $100,000 papertrading account using the ThinkorSwim platform and began entering exclusively PCCRC trades using my very specific trading method. Here is the record of the account at that date:

http://homepage.mac.com/paperprofit1/.Pictures/PaperTrades/CashBalance.png

Since then, my papertrading account has increased in value by over 61%.... So now the account has $161,000 liquid value. This is not surprising to me since my own cash account (not shown here) has grown even more, exceeding the 70%.

I just thought I share that with you!

I found out about you and your your PCCRC on this forum. Thank you for sharing. I am a believer in the "pay it forward" principle. I have been helped and was lucky to have the chance to help this way. It turned out wonderfully for all the parties involved. I wish more people deeply understand and respect this idea. I have read your blogs and watch the videos that you put up for download. I see people here also talking about your DVDs (you mentioned this in your interview as well). Are those DVDs different from the videos that you have posted on your blog? If so, how can I get them? I just switched to full time trading and I am slowly getting into options trading because the enhanced ability to money/risk management. Thank you, Juan!

I have been reading a lot on your BLOG this weekend and I like your trading system a lot.

Like you, i have spent $$ in training on options, read many books (the good ones - not the beginners type) and traded many strategies trying to find the "holy grail".

I have some caveats that would like clarified.

1. It seems you are inherently bullish biased on the choosing of the stocks albeit protected on the downside. However if the stock moves to the downside what happens if you are exercised?
You loose the Time Value of the Long?

2. I believe 2008 will be a bearish year. How do you adapt the PCCRC strategy for a bearish trend? Or you just run with the bullish stocks available?

3. I used Optionetics and after using the TOS platform quit their service. Any thing that Optionetics provides that TOS does not?

Thanks,

Thank you for all the kind comments.
You may wonder, why do I share it so freely?
Since I make enough money with my trading, it makes little sense for me to create a business and then grow guarded about sharing knowledge. I DO indeed enjoy teaching and sharing even more than trading. So it makes sense to use my skills in a way that impact the world positively. The internet provides a medium by which my audience lives throughout the world, so why not use that platform to promote good will?
If you want my approach to work for you, understand that it will only work if you PAY IT FORWARD!

I have been following Juan's PCCRC strategy for more than 2 years now at the Optionetics advanced discussion board and his stockoftheday.blogspot.com blog. I have traded various PCCRCs (some of them were my own blends based on Juan's strategy) over the last couple of years with very good results. Juan's strategy matches my belief that stocks could go either way. Not only one is protected if the stock moves opposite to the intended direction, one could profit from an adverse move also. What's more, a stop is also prebuilt into the position. The position benefits from the various option greeks: vega, delta, gamma and theta. I purchased his DVD's also and downloaded his white papers which are very explanatory.

I have been trading the PCCRC strategy for about 5 months with very good results.I like the fact that Juan provides the rules on both when to enter and exit the trades, also the profits on the winners so far have been much larger than the small losses on the losing trades.I believe if you follow the rules you will have a lot more winners than losers.

I received Juan's videos that clearly explain the criteria for entering and exiting PCCRC's and joined the private blog he started for anyone who purchases his video's .Juan updates the blog showing current candidates as they become available and follows up on these right thru to exiting them (most of which for very nice profits) I think that the paper trading account that Juan started in the spring to demonstrate how to trade the PCCRC's is up over 45% I have been following it from the start so I know it was done in real time.
I would encourage everyone to contact Juan to purchase his video's to learn this strategy( It's more like receiving a gift than a purchase. The price that I paid probably just covered the costs of duplicating the video's and shipping)
All Juan asks is that you pay it forward by trying to do something nice for someone else who wouldn't be able to to it for themselves Just like them movie titled Pay it forward
